Bio-Facial PRP: A Non-Surgical Option for Skin Quality

The Bio-Facial combines microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) prepared from your own blood. It may improve skin texture, fine lines, dullness and acne scarring, using your body's own repair processes rather than synthetic fillers.

how it works

How PRP Works

A small blood sample is spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, which carry growth factors involved in tissue repair. During the Bio-Facial, fine needles create controlled micro-injuries and the PRP is applied to or injected into the skin. This stimulates the skin's natural repair response, including new collagen.

StemGenn's PRP preparation is informed by our founder's doctoral research on PRP preparation methods for hair loss.

What Happens in Your Skin

01. Inflammation (2–3 days)

Mild redness and swelling as the repair response begins.

02. Repair (several weeks)

New collagen starts to form. Most people notice changes from about 4–6 weeks.

03. Remodelling (up to a year)

sessions & expectations

Sessions and What to Expect

Most people need a course of about 3 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions. Your doctor will recommend a plan for your skin.

Most people return to normal activities the same day. Redness, swelling or minor bruising can last 1–3 days. Results vary between individuals and are not permanent.

hair

PRP for Hair Thinning

PRP injections into the scalp may help reduce hair shedding and improve hair density in early pattern hair loss. It works best as part of a plan that may also include medicines prescribed by your doctor.

Who It May Suit

  • Early-stage male or female pattern hair loss
  • Diffuse thinning across the scalp
  • Hair shedding after stress, illness or pregnancy, once the cause is assessed
  • Support alongside a hair transplant

How a Session Works

A small blood sample is processed to isolate PRP, which is injected into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles. The procedure usually takes 45–60 minutes.

Recommended Course

Usually 3–4 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, then maintenance every few months.

safety

Who Should Not Have PRP

PRP may not be suitable if you have a blood or platelet disorder, take blood-thinning medicines, have an active skin infection, are pregnant, or are being treated for cancer. Your doctor will check this at consultation.
